Is this a good time to sell your home?  Overall the answer is yes.  Available inventory has not kept up with demand in Jackson County creating a “Sellers” market.
It’s part of a conversation on the Real Estate Show with Jim Remley and Shannon Prewtress from John L Scott.
But dig a little deeper  and depending on price, you see a different picture.  For example, if you want to sell in the 0-$150,000 range, there is a half month inventory supply of homes; in the $150,00-$250,000 price range there is .66 month supply of available inventory; and between $250,000-$350,000, there is a .92 month supply out there.   A normal market is a six months supply and we’re not even close to it.
In the upper price ranges, its a different story.  Price ranges of $350,000-$500,000 has a 2.37 months supply; $500,000-$750,00 with a 4.2 months supply, $750,000-$1Million the most with a 14.67 months supply and there were no sales in the million plus in June.
What do you think?  The term “selling now” takes on a whole new perspective.
