Market Talk: S Oregon Real Estate for Jan 31.

Seems like January flew by quickly as the S Oregon Real Estate Market adjusts itself to face what we predict will be a busy Spring season ahead. Take a look at last week’s Sales Report and you’ll notice that pending and sold properties are not being replaced with new inventory.  That keeps pressure on pricing for both buyers and sellers.   Overall, activity is pretty even among all categories.
Speaking of our market, you’ll want to join us Saturday, February 1, for our next Real Estate Show that features Jim Remley, the Managing Principal Broker for John L Scott, Medford, Ashland Eugene offices where Alice and I both hang our licenses.   Jim is a nationally known speaker and real estate coach.  He shares his thoughts on the 2020 market and what we might expect when sales activity increases.

But the exciting news this week is Mortgage Interest Rates which have dropped into the Mid 3% range.  See the latest information below.   This means buyers have a unique opportunity to purchase with historic low-interest rates giving more buying power to them.
Finally, this week, we ask the question Where should you invest your money for the next 10 years.  The answer indicates that Real Estate remains the investment of choice for most Americans.  Stocks aren’t even close.
Have a great week ahead.  We always enjoy talking with you and answer any questions you may have.  Call or text anytime.
