Market Talk! S.Oregon Real Estate for July 26

As we move toward the end of July, we are experiencing the height of this years Real Estate Market.  According to NAR stats the yearly housing cycle doesn’t change much.  Note, as summer progresses the market slowly begins a slow march toward the winter market.
Last Week’s Real Estate stats back the yearly cycle of sales.  Market was down just slightly last week.  Check the chart below. Biggest change, the median price in Jackson County was $362,000, the largest weekly total in some time. Overall, activity remains constant.
Be sure to join Alice Lema and me for this week’s Real Estate Show. Lennox Scott, the CEO of John L Scott Corporation in Seattle was in Medford this past week.  He talked about the importance of the first 30 days in selling a home and in purchasing one too. He is pictured below at the John L Scott Medford office.
On our show, we talk about how to achieve success in 30 days. Beyond 30 days and the market changes dramatically for sellers.  So join us on this week’s show, airing KCMX AM 880 Saturday, July 27, 10 am.  YouTube video as well.
Alice Lema and Pete Belcastro at KCMX Studio.
Next week we discuss the new Landlord Tenant laws of Oregon with Attorney James Stout.  Also, check out any past show at our website www.realestateshoworegon.com
What is the best use of color inside a home today?  We’re taking a new look at color each week.  It was the color of  blue last week, and this week its the color brown. Take a look at what designers believe is the best and worse use of the color brown.I attended the 87th Annual Order of the Antelope gathering on Hart Mountain in Lake County last week.  I couldn’t help notice the amazing amount of water in the desert this summer. The photo below shows a few of the desert lakes and what gives Lake County its name.  They are absolutely filled to the brim and its mid-July.  Absolutely beautiful.
And finally, Mortgage Interest rates remained relatively unchanged from the previous week.  Still, as long as rates remain this low, the housing market will continue to do well even as the selling cycles change throughout the year.
Have a great week.  Contact us anytime for Real Estate information.
