Market Talk! S. Oregon Real Estate for Nov. 15.

Southern Oregon’s Real Estate Market has entered the Fall Selling Cycle in the past few weeks.  That means fewer sales overall, but it also creates certain opportunities for both buyers and sellers.  First, let’s check last week’s sales stats for our three-county area.
The current market pattern, now in its second consecutive week, is 243 closed and pending sales, replaced with only 71 new listings.  Activity remains pretty consistent but activity is definitely slowing slightly.
Would you like to know what your Home Energy Efficiency Score is? It’s all on this week’s Real Estate Show, when Roger Kainu, Energy Analyst with the Oregon Department of Energy. He is the person who has drawn up a statewide Home Energy Scoring program.  This program is mandatory in Portland where sellers have to have an assessment of their energy efficiency before they can list the house.  You’ll want to hear more.  Saturday, 10 am KCMX AM 880 and YouTube video.
LR, Alice Lema, Susan LaDue, Roger Kainu, Pete Belcastro at KCMX Studio.
Susan is the Education Coordinator for the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors and coordinates education courses for Realtors in Jackson and Josephine counties.  Next week Guy Giles of Mutual of Omaha Mortgage joins us for an update on what rates are doing.  Buyers often ask why drives mortgage rates either up or down.  Good questions.  The chart below answers that.
