New Contractors In Medford Housing Market.
by Pete Belcastro.
It wasn’t that long ago that Jackson County experienced no new home construction. Remember 2009? It was the lowest year for new construction as the Great Recession took hold on our economy and shook it to its core. We are coming back, however. Taken Hayden Homes for example.
On the Real Estate Radio Show on Feb28-March 1, Brian Pollinger, community manager and Broker, joined Guy Giles of Summit Funding for a conversation about the new construction market.
Pollinger, who moved to Southern Oregon in the past year, says Hayden Homes did a lot of homework before deciding Medford is going to be a great market for new construction.
Hayden Homes, by the way, is one of Oregon’s largest homebuilders and is based in Redmond. The company recently completed its 10,000th home. This is their first venture into the Southern Oregon Market.
Already Pollinger says, they have sold 49 of 62 lots and homes in a subdivision off Rossanley Rd. But what’s really interesting is that Hayden recently purchased out of bankruptcy a subdivision in E Medford with 300 lots.
Sizes range from 1,400 to 2,700 sq ft homes chosen from a variety of plans. Hayden then works with a buyer to select the colors, appliances etc that the buyer wants. Its pretty much one stop new home buying.
Check out the whole show and learn more about the new home market, Hayden Homes and of course financing of them with Summit Funding’s Guy Giles.
One thing is for certain. Medford area new home construction will continue at this brisk pace for some time to come. The good news for buyers — with new builders entering the market, supply and demand should keep prices and quality in check.
