The new year has begun and so far signs indicate that the S Oregon Real Estate Market is off to a solid start.
For example take a look at last week’s MLS stats below…
New listings, pending sales and closed sales were all up from the previous week in Jackson County. Of note, action across all price spectrums especially in the luxury market which has been quite slow.
Lasts week’s Real Estate Show was a dandy as Colin Mullane joined us for a discussion about the Real Estate year just completed and what that means for the future.
By the way, Colin is a Past President of the Oregon Association of Realtors, the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors and serve with the NAR.
Market Talk comparing December Real Estate stats from 20-17 to 2018 are in. They indicate why our market is normalizing — check days on market, its up. Look at the available homes per buyer and months supply of inventory, both are up pretty dramatically from a year ago. meaning we are returning to a more even or normalized market.Be sure to catch the Real Estate Show with Karen and Terry Toner. We talk about staging a home to sell and with inventory increasing the competition out there, staging a home may make a different in a crowded market.

And finally today Interest Rates are generally below 5% right now which is good for real estate. Yet the chart below shows you who is more likely to sell in the coming year.
If you have a low mortgage rate, you probably fall into this category.
