Thanksgiving Week saw the Southern Oregon Real Estate Market slow down and take a breath as we head toward the final month of the calendar year. We hope you too slow down a bit and enjoy the upcoming Holiday Season.
Last Week in Southern Oregon Real Estate looked like this.
Despite the Holiday, pending sales did quite well last week.
We had quite a discussion on last week’s Real Estate Show with Guy Giles, Bank 34 Mortgage. Lenders are working hard to come up with plans that fit in today’s normalizing market. You’d be surprised as the

amount of activity lenders are seeing at this time. On this week’s show, Saturday, December 12, at 10 am KCMX AM 880, our topic is Sellers Taking more Charge of their Sale. Join us for an interesting show pointing out ways sellers can be more confident the price they are asking for is one that a buyer will pay.
Speaking of listings, I’d like to share of mine and Alice Lema.
3753 Creek View, E Medford. Immaculate home, move-in ready, nice floor plan, a master suite to die for, along with fenced yard, RV parking, high end finishes, bonus family room and more. Open House this Sunday, December 2, 1-3 pm, come on by, take a look and say hello.Selling in winter means less competition from other listings and those buyers looking are more serious because its winter.
Have you thought about selling your home yourself? FISBO (For Sale by Owner) makes up the smallest percentage of home sales of less than 8%.Which is a historic low. What makes the most sense for you? Check the chart below to see if doing it yourself is smarter than hiring a pr0fessional realtor to make the sale happen.
Finally, JLS Realtors take care of others in our community. John L Scott Medford, Ashland Shoe Drive for the Holidays! Can you help out. Read more……….
Each year, hundreds of children in Jackson County struggle through winter with poorly fitting shoes. In some cases, teachers are being forced to tape up holes in the soles of those shoes to keep the elements out. That’s where Compassion Highway Project comes in. Last year they lead the charge in gathering enough shoes to gift these kiddos with a brand new pair of winter appropriate shoes AND a comfy new pair of socks, through donations from the community. And that’s where YOU come in! Last year, JLS donated nearly 200 pairs of shoes to this cause. Earth Angels has asked to pair with John L. Scott to help gather even MORE donations!! This is going to be EPIC!!! Here are the details:
Sizes needed are anywhere from 10C (Kindergarten) through size 11 in men’s. Both boys and girls shoes are needed. The shoes need to be sturdy and warm…so tennys and boots are great, flip flops and dress shoes are not. Shoes need to be unwrapped, and need not be in a box if they come banded or attached to one another from the store. In addition to each pair of shoes, please also include a pair of socks. Remember that the shoes do not need to be brand name. Many of these munchkins have never had a new pair of shoes and will appreciate ANYTHING you can give. Starting tomorrow, donations will be accepted at either offices with the front desk. We will continue to take donations until December 18th at noon at both the Medford and Ashland offices of John L Scott. Thank you!
Have a Great Week!
