S Oregon Real Estate Forum, September 12, 2018

Its been quite a week in S Oregon real estate with activity across the price and location spectrum.  We also had an opportunity to talk real estate issues with Jessica Gomez and Jeff Golden, candidates seeking to become a state senator this November. This seat is currently held by Sen Alan DeBoer.  Watch the show as we explore various topics we discuss with our guests each week.

Comparing August statistics is an inside look at the market and what happened last month.  Overall, pending were even, new listings were down. As more new listings appear, sellers are receiving less. Now down to  96% of list price.

This past week shows the following activity. While the smoke did cause some activity reduction, the stats show activity across price and location in both Jackson and Josephine counties. One decline was closed transactions.  Last week saw only 61 closed sales in both counties, a summer low.
On this week’s Real Estate Show the topic is about Brownfields. Don’t know what that is? Brownfields are properties are have been contaminated by prior  usage. We’ll also be explaining what the new Rogue Valley Site Reuse and Revitalization Program is and what it means to property owners and the community.
Brownfields, our topic, contaminated properties by prior usage. KCMX Radio AM 880, 10 am Saturday, September 15.  Guests are Leonard Farr and Greg Stabach.
