This Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m. on KMED AM 1440, Mark Illsley from CPM Real Estate Services joins Joe Brett for a discussion and update on commercial real estate activity in Jackson and Josephine counties.
Why is commercial real estate important? Simple answer, commercial real estate is the harbinger of things to come.
If activity in commercial real estate is low, as it has been, then our economy in general is poor, unemployment is high, foreclosures take over and gloom oversees economic activity.
Yet, if commercial activity picks up in real estate then we know things are going to get better. We’re at the stage where things seem to have turned the corner and commercial activity is picking up.
While that is good news indeed, with Harry and David’s bankruptacy, things could take longer to improve things.
I’ve interviewed the Jackson County Commissioners several times and they indicate businesspeople are encouraged by economic activity. It’s up, but it is enough to turn our economy around and grow again? Jury remains out on that one.
Mark Illsley our guest this week is an expert in commercial real estate. Mark has been on our show before and is one of the long list of guests who are experts in their field and give us a first hand update on conditions we find on the ground.
Join us Saturday 10 a.m. and Sunday 4 p./m. KMED AM 1440.
